Paving the Way: Recap

In the first of a series of three conversations, 90 attendees convened at the Pao Arts Center on December 12, 2018, to hear from Christopher V. EdwardsBen Hires, and Candelaria Silva-Collins, addressing topics around self-promotion, being comfortable with being the “only one” in the room, equitable hiring practices, Board diversity, and ownership of physical spaces. There is no better place to look for inspiration and change than from leaders who bring a wealth of knowledge to the table, and have a “passion for the craft” and “being of service.”

For a written recap of the event, check out Greg Cook’s new online arts magazine WONDERLAND.
